Wonderful Windy Wyoming
October 17, 2026
Before we left the campground on Day 16, Terry insisted on
riding a mustang! I let him have his fun as I knew he was going to have a tough
drive that day due to the very windy conditions heading south.
And the wind was whippy, 20-25 mph the whole day. I had to
just ride and enjoy the beautiful scenery. It’s a tough life!
We stopped in Casper for lunch at Wood Fired Pizza. I had a
chicken bacon artichoke pizza while Terry enjoyed dry rubbed jumbo wings and
iced tea. And their fresh strawberry lemonade was the best I’ve ever had!! It
had chunks of fruit floating in it and I sucked up some strawberry pieces (and
lemon seeds!). Yummy!!
Our Harvest Host site for the night was at the Rolling Hills
Wyoming City Park. We tucked in beside a building as the wind was still blowing
that evening. Several deer came by to check out what we were doing.
I finished reading my latest book and Terry listened as the
White Sox lost. Which made us both sad. But they had a great season this year.
We tucked in for the night, thankful for another wonderful
day together.
